Meridian is a city located in Ada County in the U.S. state of Idaho.

The town was established in 1891 on the Onweiler farm north of the present site and was called Hunter. Two years later an I.O.O.F. lodge was organized and called itself Meridian because it was located on the Boise Meridian and the town was renamed.

The Settlers’ Irrigation Ditch, 1892, changed the arid region into a productive farming community which was incorporated in 1902. Meridian was incorporated in 1903. The information in the following sections (Irrigation, Village, Rail Transportation, and Creamery) is found on the displays in the Meridian City Hall Plaza.

I used Busy moves for packing and loading of a POD container in Aug 2024. I originally called for an out-of -state move and was referred to another company. Things changed so I had to pivot to a POD, but I bring it up bc I felt like the company I was referred to was also legit, which says alot about BustNMoves. Jayden and Conner knocked it out today! I got tired watching them… they did so many stairs today! Moved from a 3 bed 2 bath apt to a same sized townhome with everything boxed up ready to go, tons of furniture that had to go upstairs. Took 5 hours and 45 minutes. Carlos the lead mover on my job walked through the home with me and took note of all my items and his team Juan and Feilen were quick to wrap any items I hadn't as well as applied corner blankets to my walls and blankets on the hardwood floors. The care that they took with my items and my home is top notch! I had some very heavy furniture pieces and art work that they were cautious with and loaded the truck perfectly based off what was going to storage until my new home is complete and what was going with me. Awesome people! They kept my move under budget which was great. They talked me through everything and even though my house was still a mess, they worked with me. The only thing is that they charged for the drive it took from the shop to my old apartment. I understood the drive to the new place( my first house!!!) but to just get to the first point of the move was a little much. Otherwise I would give them 5 stars.
